Assassin's Creed - Equipment

The weapons in the Assassin's Creed franchise are different in each game. For instance: in AC you have one hidden blade, in AC 2 two. You can also get different armor sets in AC 2 and Brotherhood. (In Assassin's Creed your armor just gets some attachments)

Below is a list of weapons used in Assassin's Creed

  • The Hidden Blade
  • Fists
  • Longsword
  • Short Blade
  • Throwing Knives

The crossbow was intended to be a usable weapons in the early designs, but was removed from the final game due to historical inaccuracies.

The Hidden Blade

These are the common weapons for assassinations in Assassin's Creed. The kills are clean and stealthy and you don't spot it quick.

The Longsword

The Longsword, classic weapon in the Middle Ages and thus also used by Assassin's and Templars. There is one sword which is particulary interesting and that's Altaïr's blade.

Throwing Knives

The Throwing Knives, silent and deadly. You can throw them from a distance without being spotted and in AC 2 and Brotherhood you can throw 3 at once!

The Hidden Gun

The designs were made by Altaïr during his time with the Apple (see Story) but it isn't used until Leonardo makes one for Ezio. There is one down-side, it's noisy.

Metal Cestus

Why does Ezio need a Metal Cestus? What is it use? Well you can hit someone with it of course and in Brotherhood you need it to climb higher (which is extremely useful)!

Smoke Bombs

The Smoke Bombs, the name says it all. You use them to flee from your foes (or to assassinate them). It can come in handy while in big fights while your target is running away.

The Crossbow

My favorite weapon, it's silent, it's quick and you can use it from almost everywhere. What else do you want? You should see it in action!

Armors

What about armors? How many armors are there and how can you get them? And does it really help at all? Find all about it on the Armor page!

Mounted Cannons

You won't use them often (SPOILER: twice in Brotherhood) but they are funny. They are very precise weapons of destruction used for defending Monteriggioni.

Below is a list of devices made by Leonardo Da Vinci which you have to destroy in AC Brotherhood

  • Boat Cannon
  • Chariot Machine Gun
  • Tanks
  • An Advanced Flying Machine
